»Fire! Anti-Jewish Terror on Kristallnacht in November 1938«
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of November 1938 the Foundation New Synagogue Berlin, the Foundation Topography of Terror and the Foundation Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe jointly put together the exhibition »Fire! Anti-Jewish Terror on Kristallnacht in November 1938«.
The exhibition communicates a new view of the occurrences which took place in November 1938 to the visitors. In addition to the documentation of the violations against the Jews in the German Reich, their synagogues, places of business and homes, early autobiographical texts from various Jewish communities can be listened to via audio points. Photographs and series of pictures which until now have never been seen also take centre stage in the exhibition.
This exhibition was on display in the New Synagogue Berlin from November 6, 2008 until the beginning of February 2009.
For further information on the project, please contact Dr. Ulrich Baumann, research associate of the Foundation Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe.
