Foundation Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe
The Foundation Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe is a federal foundation, which was founded on the basis of a resolution of the German Bundestag on 25 June 1999. It supervises the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe and the Information Centre, and – following an amendment on 3 July 2009 – it is also responsible for the Memorial to the Homosexuals Persecuted under the National Socialist Regime and the Memorial to the Sinti and Roma Murdered under the National Socialist Regime. Moreover, the foundation’s mission is to play a part in »ensuring that all victims of National Socialism are remembered and honoured appropriately«. It develops special exhibitions, organises lectures and seminars, and creates accompanying publications.
