The Foundation Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe invites 11 artists to participate in a non-open competition for a new film for the Memorial to the Homosexuals Persecuted under the National Socialist Regime.

In the early morning of 19 June 2013 Michelle Obama visited, accompanied by her two daughters Malia (14) and Sasha (12 years) and Auma Obama, half-sister of Barack Obama, the Field of Stelae of the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe.

As part of a joint public awareness project, the Technische Universität Munich and the Foundation Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe are responsible for creating the content of this new memorial.

On the 25 January 2013, Joachim Gauck, Germany’s Federal President, visited the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe to honour Remembrance Day for the victims of National Socialism.
