The dialogical guided tour addresses all target groups and builds on the prior knowledge and special interests of the participants. It begins in the above-ground Field of Stelae and ends with an exhibition introduction in the Information Centre.
What does the memorial remind us of? To whom is it dedicated? How is it located in the urban space? What discussions were connected with the process of its creation and what is the significance of Holocaust remembrance today? The participants will deal with these and other questions during the tour. They explore the Field of Stelae and are encouraged to interpret the abstract artwork and develop a position on the place of remembrance.
The subsequent individual visit to the exhibition offers insights into the persecution and murder of European Jews in the period from 1933 to 1945 on the basis of concrete life stories.
During a follow-up discussion in the seminar rooms, impressions can be exchanged and questions can be asked.
