travelling exhibition of the German Society for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Psychosomatics and Nervous Medicine (DGPPN) was created in cooperation with the Foundations Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe and Topography of Terror. In the selection of patients, the supposed \u00bbvalue\u00ab of the human being became the guiding consideration. Doctors, nurses and functionaries judged those entrusted to them on the basis of \u00bbcurability\u00ab, \u00bbability to educate\u00ab or \u00bbability to work\u00ab. The exclusion, persecution and extermination of conspicuous, disturbing and sick people took place within the institution and hospital system at that time.<\/p>\n<div class=\"two-third-left\">\n<p class=\"bodytext\"><strong>Concept:<\/strong><br \/>The travelling exhibition is aimed specifically at a broad audience: it takes the question of the value of life as a guideline and deals with the mental and institutional preconditions of murder, it summarises the events from exclusion and forced sterilisation to mass extermination, it deals with victims, perpetrators, those involved in the crime and opponents and finally asks about the confrontation with events from 1945 to the present day. <br \/>Exemplary biographies run through the entire exhibition: In the victims&#8217; files, the many different actors involved in the crimes become tangible. Their view of patients is juxtaposed with their own statements.<br \/>The exhibition concludes with numerous voices that reflect on the events of today and ask themselves from different perspectives what significance it has for them personally: doctors, politicians, representatives of self-help associations, relatives of victims, nurses, health care representatives and others.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div
