The town, located in the Zhytomyr region of Ukraine, is one of the sites of the international project \u201cProtecting Memory\u201d. In 2019, the project helped transform one of the sites where Jews were murdered, close to the village of Khazhyn near Berdychiv, into a dignified memorial and place of information. As part of the project, an exhibition dedicated to the history of Berdychiv\u2019s Jewish community was opened in the centre of Berdychiv.
