The architect Peter Eisenman presented a reworked design for the Information Centre to be located underneath the Memorial, and spoke about the location and composition of the field of steles as well as the cost aspects of the overall concept.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">His proposals met with broad approval from the Board of Trustees. The Senate Administration for Urban Development was commissioned to draw up the final architectural contract for the construction of the complex. A limit of 50 million DM has already been set for the entire project. A more exact cost specification will be determined by the Board of Trustees after the presentation of a detailed costing plan. Peter Eisenman will shortly present a preliminary plan, so that the deadlines for parliamentary budget discussions can be adhered to. It is envisaged that the construction of the Memorial and the Information Centre will begin in the second half of 2001.<\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\">At the same meeting, the Board of Trustees received a report by the spokesman of its newly established Advisory Board. The Advisory Board advises the Board of Trustees in particular with regard to the Foundation&#8217;s legally defined task of incorporating the dignified remembrance of other victim groups into its program.
